These forms make me lie

A couple of friends are applying to MBA schools. Part of the application process mandates a number of essays written on various topics like 'Achievements', 'Diversity', 'Goals' etc. The essays sometimes turn out to be an assuaged premeditated extempore bordering on self glorification. Some of those essays are passed through me cause of my so called literary skills :-) Anyways so this friend was sitting there pondering about what he had done and what he wanted to do and then he made a comment in passing, "These forms make me LIE".

I dont now much about the lying part, but I do remember that we used to have loads of fun in college to fill out these. :).

oh here is another one... so this friend told me of this person he knows who would find out which books the profs of the Univ have written and then he would read those books and then mention in his essays that he is inspired by those books :-)
basically tailor it to what the profs want to hear.... hmmmm....

Ok, seriously...that's a pretty ingenious idea. You've got to give the guy some credit for creativeness!

@etchen
yeah I guess so...

but in a way its just back to making ppl hear what they want to... just another way of marketing...
