Got this from a movie called 'Amores Perros' that I had seen sometime back. I heard the song in Spanish lyrics and liked the tune, while I read the subtitles. And then it turned out that I liked the lyrics of the song too :-) The song is in Spanish and I have put down the translated lyrics.you can hear the song out here. The acoustic version is here.
For Luciano, because we are also what we have lost.
A giants' joust turns the air into natural gas
A wild duel warns me
How close I am of going into an outrageous world
I feel my fragility
Some nightmare running away
With a beast after me
Tell me everything's a lie
Just a silly dream and nothing more
I'm afraid of enormity
Where nobody hears my voice
Stop the deception
Don't try to hide
That you've never tripped while moving around
Paper monster
I don't know who I'm up against
Or is there somebody else here?
I believe in the terrible ghosts
Of some strange place
And in my foolishness to make you burst into laughter
In an outrageous world
I feel your fragility
Stop the deception
Don't try to hide
That you've never tripped while moving around
Paper monster
I don't know who I'm up against
Stop the deception
Don't try to hide
That you've never tripped while moving around
Paper monster
I don't know who I'm up against
Or is it that maybe there is somebody else here?
Or is it that maybe there is somebody else here?
Or is it that maybe there is somebody else here?
A giants' joust turns the air into natural gas
A wild duel warns me
How close I am of going into an outrageous world

Tell me everything's a lie

nice lyrics :)
@ vaidehi and neha
check out the movie too... have seen a lot of movies of gael garcia bernal ... he was in motorcycle diaries, che guevara's epic journey across south america which sparked fires that finally made him the great revolotionary that he was... gael acts in 'babel' too... the director of babel, alejandro gonzalez made 'amores perros', and '21 grams'.... 21 grams is a good movie too.
I like latino music too.... their use of the guitar is amazing....
lice, why is it that some people choose to see horror films?
@ reema....
ohh... the youtube clip is not from the movie.... the movie had a nude scene during the song so I didn't wanna put that clip up... since this is a family blog :-)
so it was between the dark (horror) clip and a cartoon clip.... I couldn't make sense of the cartoon so the chosen one was chosen by striking down the other choices....
Wow! It's so funny and cool at the same time to stumble upon your little blog here! I just finished watching the movie, and during the movie itself, I rewinded the part so I could just read the lyric translation without any attention to what's happening in the video. Loved the song! Searched for it. The soundtrack came up. Then typed in "Paper Monster from Amero Perros" and your blog came up! :D Brilliant movie and I absolutely madly loved the song the moment I heard it!
And just read the horror movie part! Aw, that's really adorable of you though, caring that it's a 'family' blog and all! :D But funny, either horror, or a cartoon!
It was quite a nice information. Pranaya Mathur
